This past weekend, we gallivanted around Disney with Kyle's family. A great distraction as we enter into this week, if you ask me. The Florida weather was perfect for a few days of learning the ropes around the monstrosity named Disney. Wow, that place is so much bigger than my three year old brain remembered it to be. When I was three, I couldn't WAIT to see Mickey- I ran up and kissed him because I was sooo in love.
I didn't get to reunite with Mickey this time around, but we did have a blast trucking through a safari, riding to Mt.Everest, visiting the twilight zone, eating Polynesian cuisine, dancing in China, drinking margaritas in Mexico, singing Aerosmith, taking a few rides through space, playing golf in a Christmas wonderland, taking a ride in a spaceship and eating too much sugar.
Here are way too many pictures of our trip :)
I'll also be doing a post soon with tips about taking pictures on vacations and what equipment to bring. Hopefully it will help you capture some adventures for yourselves.
In the mean time, enjoy our most recent one:
We started bright and early at Animal Kingdom:
Someone was not happy.
We had a little of this:
and A LOT of this:
Next up, Magic Kingdom. AKA stroller USA.
I have to admit, I am not a big fan of the whole princess deal. Kyle blames it on too many feminist classes in college, but I sort of have a thing about letting girls watch too many princess movies and thinking that is real life. With that said, I have to say that the little girls dressed in princess customs were absolutely darling.
This fudge rivaled Mackinaw Island fudge, must be the magic.
I noticed this reflection in the daytime (see above), so I had to go back at night to get a few shoots of the colors! Did you know that there is nothing in the Castle? Except for Tinkerbell's home, of course.
Now onto Hollywood Studios.
SO worth getting up extra early. No dealing with crazy crowds or lines!
This happened. And I loved it.
And last but not least, Epcot!
I was pretty excited to go through all of the countries, but I did have one tiff. AFRICA IS NOT A COUNTRY! It's a CONTINENT! The rest however, were countries and properly represented as such.
(Sorry, a friend corrected me, it is suppose to be Morocco...Thanks Lauren ;)
We had the most beautiful night (for photos!)
The End.
