Early last week, I made the trek up to Michigan with Maizy in tow. I wasn't sure how she would do in a car for 12 hours, but she surprised me and was calm the whole way. When we drove past Ann Arbor, I honked and told Maizy that we were passing our new home. She barked with excitement (or because I scared her with the horn ;) She wasn't the best singing partner, but I did end up with with a pretty cute travel companion:
While Kyle was on a fishing adventure last week, I spent some time with my family. Meaning, I've spent almost everyday with the cutest baby alive. I'm not biased at all.
We've had a week full of snugging, smiling, making goggly eyes and A LOT of baby throw up. We also had a girls day full of shopping, and of course I stumbled upon the most adorable polo dress you've ever laid your eyes on. I asked Hannah if she wanted it, and she reached her hands out with a HUGE smile. How could I justify NOT getting it for her?
Being an aunt just keeps getting better :)
Maizy, on the other hand, was a bit weary of a new girl in town, taking her mom's attention. So she decided if you can't beat em, join em....and thus became Hannah's new favorite cousin. They now take naps together:
If only Maizy could dance like this:
It's so fun watching Matt & Emily raise Hannah. I can't tell you how thankful I am that we get to be closer while she grows up!
In other news-
I finally get to see my husband today (after 10 days!) - I'm SO excited! We have a big week of celebrating our 2 year anniversary (!!), Kyle's birthday and a best friend's wedding and house hunting.
So, SO grateful to have this time :) Life is simply wonderful.
